We all know that Uttarakhand is a land of natural beauty and a centre of cultural heritage and economic potential, attracting millions of tourists from around the world every year. Although we have been progressive in past years, still there are several areas, where Uttarakhand lags behind in terms of development including connectivity, unemployment, environmental degradation, out migrations from villages and lack of access to basic services.

As a society, we should take responsibility to ensure that Uttarakhand reaches its full potential and become Abhyuday Uttarakhand. To address these issues & provide solutions, Social Educational & Welfare Association (SEWA) in collaboration with the Uttarakhand State Council for Child Welfare (UKSCCW) is organising sequence of programs under Abhyuday Uttarakhand – 2023 from June to Dec 2023, where Children will be the key players.

The programs will be conducted under the following Heads:

  • Get away to Villages, Where Urban Meets Rural & Feel Biodiversity of Nature.
  • Super Food Millet, A way of healthy life (Eat Millet – Grow Millet).
  • Promoting Water Conservation & Environment Protection.
  • Clean, Healthy, Skilled & Sustainable Uttarakhand.
  • Solar, Wind & Energy Farming.

Many organisation are joining hands to become Mission Supporter of Abhyuday Uttarakhand–2023. The programs will educate over 15 Lacs People, Youth & Children, covering Over 500 villages, Over 50 Blocks of all the 13 Districts of Uttarakhand.

Every month different programs, seminars, meetings, competitions, rural visits, rallies etc will be conducted, to educate & empower all section of the society. The Final program of this year will be held on 26th Dec 2023, on Veer Baal Diwas.

In June, program are Organic Seed Ball distribution, Plantation Drives, Children Walkathon, Water Harvest Drive, Abhyuday Uttarakhand Cycle Rally of around 200 KMs (Doon- Maldevata- Dhaulagiri- Anand Chock- Marora- Manjgaon- Surkanda Mata- Dhanaulti- Mussoorie- Bhatta fall- Purkul Gaon- Supply- Doon Cantt.) and “Certificate Program on Rural Development” for school children.
